SEED (Startups and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Development), is an acceleration program designed for worldwide minded entrepreneurs who want to develop their business in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. SEED is the only public equity-free acceleration program in Brazil, and boost interaction, networking and the exchange of knowledge and habilities between entrepreneurs and the local community.
At SEED, participants have a 6 months experience to strengthen their projects. We select 40 startups per batch, with 2 or 3 entrepreneurs per team, which receive between R$ 68k and 80k of seed capital.
Coordinated by the State Secretariat of Economic Development, Science, Technology and Higher Education of Minas Gerais State (SEDECTES), SEED is part of Minas Digital, a series of governamental initiatives, partnerships and networks. The initiative fosters innovative businesses development and strengthens the entrepreneurial culture in the State.
